FALL IN LOVE, IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD

Australia the Land of Plenty. Before we Australians fly all around the world for that trip of a lifetime, we should give some thought to what is in our own backyard! Australia boasts some of the world’s most mind blowing sights! From our vast rugged outback to tropical sun-drenched white sandy beaches, are sadly many of its inhabitants never travel to see the many wonders that this beautiful country has to offer. With only seven states in Australia, we are very spoilt for choice. There are so many localities to visit – cities so cosmopolitan they rival their international counterparts. Life altering adventures that are sure to broaden your horizons. Once you start looking at your options here in Oz you’ll be amazed at the locations you never knew existed.

WA’s Hidden Treasure – Great Southwest
To begin with just a three hour drive south of Perth, lays Western Australia’s hidden treasure, the great South West, that is widely recognized for Margaret River’s abundant array of more then 100 wineries and world famous surf breaks, however this is only one of the thirteen suburbs that forms the South West region. Ranging from Bunbury through to Walpole there is enough variety of sights and choice to suit every bride’s taste in location. If it is a beach wedding that you have your heart set on then take your pick, Bunbury, Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup, Eagle Bay and Margaret River all offer pristine, white sandy beaches. Just ensure you plan for the summer season, between December to mid May, keep in mind that the temperatures do vary incredibly between 25 – 40 degrees within these months. 

For those who you that prefer beautiful vineyard scenery, there are many wineries, large and intimate that dominate the wedding arena, and are accustomed to offering the complete wedding package including the venue. If total luxury and indulgence is what you’re after, then look no further as the south west is home to some of Western Australia’s most lavish accommodation to suit every standard. Whatever your budget, there are ample choices for accommodation, endless activities with plenty to see and to do; the South West Region is the land of great food and wine and unforgettable experiences.

Broome WA - At its best
Picture deep red soil, vast open surroundings, pristine white beaches dotted with palm trees and clear turquoise waters and you have found your self at the gateway to the Kimberley, in tranquil Broome. Broome rates as one of Western Australia’s hottest tourist destinations, it is nothing short of a picture-perfect setting for your next holiday, honeymoon and wedding, from the moment you step off the plane, you find yourself immersed in Broome’s raw beauty and casual and relaxed atmosphere, it literally engulfs you. Ask any local what the weather is like in Broome and they will answer ‘perfect one day and better the next’. Broome has two seasons, the dry season that lasts for six months of the year starting in May and runs through to October. During this season it is ideal weather and perfect for your wedding, and doubles as a magical honeymoon destination. During this time the temperature ranges on average between 20 and 30 degrees. The humidity is low and the evenings are often balmy, yet comfortable and perfect for those who dream of an outdoor, or marquee wedding.

The wet season being monsoon, is a totally different story, and not ideal for those that feel the heat, the humidity is very high and it has been known to rain cats and dogs, the temperature soars which can be very uncomfortable for those arriving from a cooler climate. Broome is the host to the famous Cable Beach, as well as a surplus of unadulterated coastal locations that offer you indulgence into the plethora of fishing and wild life activity, it is truly amazing and the perfect setting for romantic sunset cruises and long walks hand-in-hand. This extraordinary town is blessed with a range of spectacular resorts and hotels, all unique in their own way. Queensland – The Sunshine State
Queensland offers a myriad of towns and places to consider for your weddings. No matter what type of wedding or honeymoon you are seeking there is a place to host it. From the many islands to the reef and the sun-kissed beaches, the lush rainforests and the rugged outback, Queensland offers something for everyone. Queensland has 13 regions for you to explore, each offering something unique and distinctive; whether you want adventure, ancient natural wonders or sophisticated city sights.

There is an abundance of wedding venues and services on hand. If you are planning to get married in Queensland and you are not from, or familiar with the territory, I suggest that you hire a local wedding planner that is familiar to assist you with the arrangements because the variety is so vast that it could take you years to plan. If you wish to plan your honeymoon in Queensland then talk to your local travel agent to get started, they will be able to assist you and cut corners, and by doing so will save you lots of time and money.
